Sustainability Community Based Learning (CBL)

Community-Based Learning (CBL) is a teaching method that integrates reciprocal partnerships, community engagement, and critical reflection to meet institutional and course outcomes while developing individual, civic, and social responsibility. At 抖阴福利导航, the CBL program provides support across all disciplines by assisting faculty with community-based learning course implementation, professional development, and resources. The Sustainability Department is excited to support and collaborate with faculty to create positive learning experiences for students at 抖阴福利导航 around sustainability challenges.

How to get started?

  1. Visit 抖阴福利导航 Community Based Learning and click on 鈥淔aculty: Teach with CBL.鈥 Please fill out the form and express interest in working with Sustainability for your CBL project.
  2. Read through the guide to Community Based Learning for Sustainability.
  3. Make a copy of the project form for Community Based Learning for Sustainability and submit your answers聽 to us at sustainability@pcc.edu.
  4. Create a draft project description and submit your request three weeks prior to your need for materials from 抖阴福利导航 Sustainability Strategies. (We are often quicker, but the time frame will vary with the time of year and our availability.)
  5. We will get in touch with you to set up a meeting to:
    1. brainstorm project ideas and details;
    2. answer questions; and provide聽 information.
