Before students arrive for the fall term, In-Service Week provides an opportunity for us to reconnect, learn from one another, celebrate achievements, and prepare for the year ahead.

Please note that part-time faculty will not receive stipends for the Monday In-service or for any community sessions. Part-time faculty are eligible for stipends for:

  • Teaching Week (September 8, 9, and 10 – up to $200 each day)
  • Part-Time Faculty In-Service (September 16 – $100)
  • 1/2 day SAC meetings if they are scheduled (September 17 – up to $100)

Monday, September 14

Join remotely

Can’t attend In-Service in person? Join us for a brief afternoon Zoom broadcast during the event. The program will feature remarks from Acting ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ President, Dr. Kati Ho, ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ Federation representatives, and AS¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ leadership. The broadcast will be recorded and made available afterward for those who are unable to attend live.

Community Gatherings

Each Community Gathering will feature a brief program with Acting President Katy Ho, representatives from the Associated Students of ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½, and leaders from FFAP and FCE. After the program, stay and enjoy food, games, activities, and time with colleagues from across the college.

Host a Community Table

One of the highlights of the Community Gatherings will be a community fair featuring departments, committees, affinity groups, employee organizations, shared governance groups, and college programs from across ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½. Hosting a table is a great way to share resources, recruit new participants, showcase your work, and help colleagues discover opportunities to get involved throughout the college. The signup deadline for tabling has passed. Please contact inservice@pcc.edu with questions.

  • Rock Creek: Events Center, Building 9. Doors open for tabling setup at 7:30am. Tabling runs from 8:30–11:30²¹³¾
  • Cascade: Cascade Library. Doors open for tabling setup at 12 noon. Tabling runs from 1–4pm
  • Tables will not be assigned. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at both locations. Early setup is not available. Tablecloths will not be provided. Power will not be available unless specifically requested in the original registration. Make sure laptops are fully charged before arriving.

Subject Area Committee (SAC) In-Service Day

Stipend pay is available for eligible participants for up to four hours. Contact your SAC/academic department leadership to determine whether there will be a meeting for your program or discipline.
