¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ GED® Completer scholarship
Continue your education at ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½! The ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ GED® Completer scholarship is for students who completed the GED® through ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ within the last year and are enrolled in credit classes at ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ for an upcoming term. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,500 total.
Scholarship restrictions
- Scholarship awards are only paid toward tuition and fees; excludes books, parking, and any past balances.
- Applicants must have completed the official GED® certificate at ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ within the last year.
- Applications must be submitted by the ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ payment due date for the term you are applying. Applications submitted late will be eligible for the next term.
- The scholarship must be applied to tuition and fees through June 30 of the award year.
Who can apply?
Eligibility for the scholarship:
- Must have completed the GED® through ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½’s Adult Education or Corrections Education programs.
- Must have CASAS post-test scores on file.
- Must have met with a ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ Academic Advisor.
- Must have already registered for credit classes for the term indicated on the scholarship application so scholarship funds may be applied to your tuition costs.
- Must have a completed adult education teacher recommendation prior to the scholarship deadline. You will need to copy and paste the teacher recommendation form into an email to your teacher.
- Recently Released Adults in Custody: If you earned your GED through the ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ Corrections Education program at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, Columbia River Correctional Institution, or South Fork Forest Camp, Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) does not allow teacher recommendations. Instead, your teacher will submit a for you. No action is needed from you. We will take care of this for you.
How to apply
- Step 1: Complete the online .
- Step 2: Ask your Adult Education teacher to submit the required .
How students are selected
- First-come, first-served based on a completed application
- Applications are considered complete when both the student application and adult education teacher recommendation have been received
- Students must demonstrate progress, no more than one term of L grades
- Up to 16 scholarships each academic year
