Using historical and textual tools, we'll explore the origins of Christianity from Jesus' earliest followers through the fifth century, when Christianity had become dominant in the Roman Empire. We'll excavate New Testament sources and meet the many Jesuses presented in the texts of this period. Come explore the diverse beliefs and debates that shaped early Christianity, its evolving relationship with Jewish ideas, and how this history continues to echo today. Participants of all faiths and no faith are welcome, and no prior knowledge is required.
