This 9-hour class focuses on delivering high-impact content to participants interested in training opportunities to further their careers in healthcare. Each class features a combination of training programs such as Phlebotomy, Patient Access Specialist, Medical Coding, Optician Assistant, Sterile Processing, EMT, Eye Tech, Medical Assistant, or Behavioral Health. In this class students hear from ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ staff and industry professionals, so that they can make informed decisions about their careers and educational goals. Participants also build skills for academic and professional success through class activities, receive support enrolling at ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ as a credit or non-credit student, and learn how to access ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ resources for academic success. No prerequisites are required. Students should be interested in pursuing education, whether working towards a GED, ESOL proficiency, or a credit or non-credit training program. It is also recommended that students have basic English skills to comprehend verbal and written classroom content and computer skills proficient for navigating web pages and completing forms.
