Apply to the Radiography program

To join this two-year program, you must apply for admission. This highly competitive program accepts up to 38 out of 350+ applicants every summer term. Applicants are selected through a point-based system over a three-phase evaluation process.

Competitive applicants have all prerequisites completed with a competitive GPA prior to the application deadline and have some paid healthcare experience with direct patient care. Completion of the application requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Program details and dates change yearly (usually posted in early September).

We process applications through a third-party service called AHCAS. You will complete your application as well as upload supporting documentation and official transcripts from all schools attended (including ������������) to the AHCAS system.

How to apply

1. Apply to ������������

   Applying to ������������ is free and only takes a few minutes. Complete this step as soon as possible so you can start using ������������ resources. The deadline to apply to ������������ for the Radiography 2027 admission period is March 17, 2027.

   • If you haven’t taken a credit course at ������������ in the last year, you must update your application by going to pcc.edu/enroll or to confirm your status as a credit-seeking student by emailing enroll@pcc.edu.

2. Application timeline

   Take prerequisites

   All prerequisites must be completed by the end of ������������’s winter term prior to the application deadline and passed with a grade of “C” or higher. Pass/no pass grades are not accepted. Learn more about Radiography program prerequisites.

3. Build application to earn points

   The application process has three phases. The first phase is based on a 56-point scale. See details about the point system on the application points page.

4. Submit transcripts

   ������������ requires applicants to submit official transcripts from all colleges attended, including ������������, directly to AHCAS. Send transcripts at least two weeks before the application deadline. Do not wait until you have submitted your AHCAS application to send your transcripts to AHCAS. 5. Phase I: Apply to the Radiography program

   by the April 2, 2027, 8:59pm (PST) deadline. The non-refundable application fee is $72.

6. Phase II: Orientation, HSRT-AD, job shadowing, and panel interview

   Approximately 90% of the top-scoring Phase I applicants will be invited to Phase II. The remainder of the interview cohort will be randomly selected based on applicants who have at least a 3.62 GPA (the 2026 average prerequisite GPA) and have at least 500 hours of qualified healthcare experience. Phase II notifications will be sent to the email address you designated in AHCAS. It is the applicant’s responsibility to regularly check their email for admissions updates and notifications. Appeals for missing an action or response deadline will not be considered.

   Phase II applicants must complete the following activities:

   • Mandatory in-person orientation: Phase II applicants must attend a mandatory in-person orientation on April 23, 2027. Please hold the entire day. Details on panel interviews and how, when, and where to schedule your job shadow will be provided during the orientation.
   • HSRT-AD: Applicants will complete the proctored HSRT-AD while at the orientation on April 23, 2027.
   • Job shadowing: All invited applicants will be required to participate in an assigned job shadowing experience prior to May 12, 2027.
   • Panel interview: A prescheduled panel interview will take place at the Sylvania Campus on May 14, 2027. Please clear your schedule for the entire day.

7. Phase III: Seat offers and post-selection requirements

   Applicants who advance to Phase III have received a seat offer. They are considered admitted to the program pending successful completion of Phase III requirements prior to the start of fall 2027:

   • Pass a criminal background check from an agency designated by ������������.
   • Pass a ten-panel drug screen from a lab designated by ������������.
   • Submit proof of current immunizations.
   • Submit proof of current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association).

   Please review the requirements for clinical and field education for more details. Students will receive specific directions from ������������’s Radiography program on how to meet these requirements. Applicants should not pursue meeting these requirements prior to being admitted to the Radiography program.

Admission timeline: Summer 2027

• Early September: Start building your
  • Each September, the AHCAS application becomes available. Be sure to select the correct summer term you intend to start. You can then complete your personal information, enter your academic history, and review AHCAS requirements. You won’t be able to designate ������������ as your program of choice until January 2. After this date, you can view and start uploading your ������������-specific requirements.
  • All admissions information will be sent through the email address used to create your AHCAS account. Applicants are responsible for checking their email throughout the entire admissions process.
• January 2, 2027: Radiography application opens in AHCAS
  • Applicants are able to designate ������������ as their program of choice in AHCAS, as well as view and start uploading their ������������-specific requirements and application materials.
• March 17, 2027: ������������ general admissions deadline
  • Applicants must be admitted to ������������ as an active credit-seeking student before applying to the Radiography program.
• March 21, 2027: End of ������������’s winter term
  • All prerequisite courses, math placement exam, and healthcare experience must be completed by this date.
  • Winter term official transcripts should be sent directly to AHCAS around March 29 (after winter term final grades are reflected on official transcripts).
• April 2, 2027 at 8:59pm (PST): AHCAS Radiography application deadline
  • Applicants should ensure AHCAS has all updated transcripts and supporting documents.
  • It is your responsibility to monitor your transcripts and .
  • Once you have applied, you will not be able to go in and adjust your uploads or add additional documentation. For a short amount of time, you are still��able to send official transcripts, and they will be matched to your application.
• Mid-April: Phase II notifications
  • Applicants are notified through email and must RSVP to participate in Phase II.
• April 23, 2027: Mandatory orientation and proctored HSRT-AD
  • Please hold the entire day and plan to be at the Sylvania Campus for the in-person orientation and proctored HSRT-AD.
  • The orientation will provide details on the panel interviews��as well as how, where, and when to schedule your job shadow experience.
  • The HSRT-AD will be proctored on campus by the Radiography program.
• May 12, 2027: Last day to complete the job shadow
  • Applicants will have until the end of the day to complete their assigned job shadow. No extensions will be given.
• May 14, 2027: Panel interview held at the ������������ Sylvania Campus
  • Panel interview times will be randomly assigned throughout the day (clear your schedule for the entire day).
• End of May: Final admissions notification
  • Up to 38 of the top-scoring applicants from phase II will receive a seat offer. At least one alternate will also be selected.
  • All students who are offered a seat or an alternate seat will be required to accept their offer.
  • After acceptance of the seat offer, all program communication will go through your ������������ email.
• Summer term: Beginning of program
  • Students offered a seat in the program must complete RAD 100, a 2-credit course (mainly online with four weekday in-person afternoon meetings).
• September 20, 2027: Full-time Radiography program begins
  • Phase III requirements must be completed prior to the start of ������������’s fall term.
