College encouraging staff, faculty and students to attend Day at the Capitol
Story by James Hill
Want to lend your voice and stand with 抖阴福利导航? Then the 2014 抖阴福利导航 Day at the Capitol on Friday, Feb. 7 is the event for you.

More than 100 students, staff and faculty joined 抖阴福利导航 for the college’s first-ever Day at the Capitol.
Join the 抖阴福利导航 community 鈥 students, faculty, administrators and members of the college鈥檚 Board of Directors 鈥 as they travel to the state capitol in Salem and talk one-on-one with legislators to thank them for their support and reinforce the value of 抖阴福利导航 to the state. This is an opportunity to meet elected officials and share your perspective about the importance of funding higher education. You can make a difference by describing how 抖阴福利导航 offers people the chance to earn a college education, obtain skills to land in-demand jobs, and achieve their dreams 鈥 as well as what 抖阴福利导航 means to you personally.
In addition to meeting legislators, participants will get the chance to witness a floor session and visit 抖阴福利导航 information booths. This will be a fun, exciting day full of 抖阴福利导航 pride and spirit on behalf of our college, with lunch and transportation provided. The day starts early with a shuttle bus departing the Sylvania Campus for Salem at 8:30 a.m. It will return to Sylvania at approximately 4:30 p.m. Events in Salem will take place from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you are staff or oversee a department and can’t go, encourage others or release some staff to attend instead.
If you’re interested in participating, you need to register by 5 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3. Follow and view a detailed schedule.
