¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ sponsors music group at Newberg’s ‘Tunes on Tuesday’

¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ co-sponsored an appearance by the Ben Rice Blues Band on Tuesday, Aug. 17 as part of Newberg’s Tunes on Tuesday Summer Concert Series.

The event – which attracted nearly 800 people – took place at Rotary Centennial Park, adjacent to the Chehalem Cultural Center which serves as the college’s interim Newberg site beginning this fall.
College administrators and faculty staffed an informational booth for concert-goers and gave tours of ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ classrooms and offices in the cultural center during intermission. Starting in October, ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ will begin construction on its permanent educational center in Newberg, to open in fall 2011. The ¶¶Òõ¸£Àûµ¼º½ Newberg Center is one of the first projects stemming from the passage of the college’s 2008 bond measure.
